RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULEBOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND
JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. Unless otherwise specified, all hunter classes to be judged on performance and soundness. Every class offered herein which is recognized by the CHJA/NEHC/CHSA will be conducted and judged in accordance with the current CHJA/NEHC/CHSA Rules. To show in CHJA and NEHC Medal classes, riders MUST be members. In order to compete for CHJA/CHSA/NEHC annual year-end awards, the owner of the horse or pony must be a member of the CHJA/NEHC/CHSA and the horse or pony must be registered with the CHJA/NEHC/CHSA. A copy of the CHJA/NEHC/CHSA Rule Books ,class specifications, Medal class specifications, and membership applications are available at the show secretary’s office and at www.chja.net, www.nehc.info & www.chsaonline.com.
2. Every animal entered for competition shall be under the control of show management; but New England Charity Horse Show will in no
way be responsible for any loss, accident or damage that may occur by fire or otherwise and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor, spectator, trainer and attendants hold New England Charity Horse Show, Habitat for Humanity, the Union Agricultural Society and its members, employees and agents harmless for any loss or damage that may occur to any persons, animals or property at the show.
3. Management reserves the right to cancel, combine or divide any classes if in its opinion the entries so warrant, while maintaining minimum USEF requirements to fill a class.
4. Course diagrams will be posted at least one hour prior to each class. Management reserves the right to restrict the area of the courtesy circle by a MANDATORY LINE. The same will be indicated on course diagrams an a corresponding barrier will be in the ring.
5.Awards will consist of the following; trophies and or prize money and championships. Prize money will be applied against the exhibitor’s account. Any remaining balance will be mailed to the owner on record within 30 days of the completion of the show. No prize money will be issued without proper Social Security or Tax ID Numbers. Entries/stalls may be paid with cash, check and credit card (3% fee).
6. Sharps containers MUST be used. Location available at the end of each tent. $100 fine for improper disposal of sharps.
7. Open checks, USEF/USHJA Membership Cards and Measurement Cards must be presented & verified by the show secretary prior to issuing any numbers. Responsibility lies with the exhibitor to possess all needed membership and measurement cards. Any finds issued to the horse show will be the responsibility of the exhibitor. No entry will be processed without a completed and signed entry form.
8. We request that you LEAVE DOGS HOME. Any dogs on the property MUST be leased and under control. $100 fine for loose or unruly dogs.
9. Office/Facility Fee: $55 .00 per entry.
10. Unjudged warm up classes need to be entered on the entry blank +/ or at the horse show office. Warm up classes cannot be entered with the starter at the ingate. Warm ups available time permitting. Entry fee $35.00
11. Measurements by pre-appointment with the Veterinarian.
12. Portable stalls with doors available on a first come, first served basis. Stalls available at $315.00 each if reserved on or before May 18th. Stall reservations after May 18th will be $365.00 All stalls must be pre-paid or held with a credit card. Stalls will be available June 4th. Stalls are 10x10 with vinyl panels, with dirt flooring under a permanent structure or Shed Row.
13. Hay and shavings available to order through the show office.
14. Returned checks or unpaid entries are subject to a $100.00 fee plus any bank service charge.
15. Competitors who are tied for other than first place, we'll follow the USEF JP 143.7 rule.
16. All classes $45 unless otherwise noted.
17. Entries close May19th. Entries received after the closing date will have a post entry fee of $55.00. Once a class or division begins it may not be scratched unless with a Vet's scratch. Scratching a class at the ingate doesn't constitute an official scratch.
Adding a class or division is $0.00.
18. Night Watch will automatically be charged at $20 per horse to your entries, unless a specific request is made to not want night watch.
19. Prize Money for all Hunters paid: 30%, 22%, 18%, 15%, 8%, 7%. Prize money for all Jumpers paid: 30%, 20%, 15%, 13%, 12%, 10%. Unless otherwise noted or required by USEF/USHJA rules.

21. Per GR845: All horses entering the show grounds must show proof of current vaccinations for EVH1, EVH4 & Equine Influenza. Please submit proof of vaccination
with entry forms. Back numbers will NOT be issued until vaccination proof (letter from veterinarian or receipt for vaccination purchase or administration) is filed in the show office.
22. ALL USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor Athletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirements to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for the SafeSport Code, USEF SafeSport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Prevention Policies. More information about these can be found at www.usef.org
